Salt from Peru“Inca” Inka Sun Salt
Far away from any civilisation, 40 kilometers north-west of Cusco in Peru, this is laboriously made by hand, just as it was thousands of years ago sun salt harvested. Spring water is conducted by the Indians at a height of approx. 3500 meters into more than 1500 TERRACED salt basins. The coveted salt of the Indos is created by the strong solar radiation, evaporation and wind. The beautiful salt crystals resemble flowers and are a subtle pink color. The salt is not completely dried.
