It tastes spicy, nutty, hot and slightly bitter. Used ground and whole and as a universal spice in Arabic/Oriental cuisine. Goes well with beans, courgettes, cabbage, spinach and cucumbers, lamb and poultry, fruit and biscuits.
The ground seeds can be mixed with water and drunk or used in place of EGGS in gluten and flour free baking.
